CHECK IN and START TIME

Spring: 8:30am-9am check in. First serve by 8am
Summer: 7am-7:30am check in. First serve by 8am
Fall: 9:30am check in. First serve by 10am

DIVISIONS (all are 2 v 2)

• Girls 18,17,16,15,14,13,12

• Boys 18,16,14

• Women’s Open

• Coed Open
  If needed, divisions will combine (i.e. 15s and 16s could combine under 16U)

POINTS:
We have divisions for AAU players and also another division for AVP members
AVP - Youth Divisions: Divisions with at least 4 teams accrue AVP points to count towards all major AVP events.

MEMBERSHIP:
AVP - For 2023, athletes will need a Silver membership to compete for points in all AVP youth events. AVP membershisp are not necessary to compete in our tournaments in Utah. Bronze will only be utilized for those participating in a league or junior club. Any athlete competing at a 4-Star junior event or AVP Pro Tour event, including Qualifiers, is required to have a Gold membership. Any member under the age of 18 is required to be linked to a Parent membership. The Basic/Parent membership is free. JUNIOR BIDS:
As of 12/1/22, bids to the 2023 Junior Nationals can be awarded. Please note that from 12/1/2022 through 6/25/2023, bids are ONLY for 2023 Nationals. Nationals will take place July 5-9 in Hermosa Beach. TOURNAMENT AGE DEFINITIONS:
As of March 6 2023, AVP age definition is as follows:

• 18 & Under: Athletes graduating high school in 2023 or later.

• 16 & Under: Athletes graduating high school in 2025 or later.

• 14 & Under: Athletes graduating high school in 2027 or later.

• 12 & Under: Athletes graduating high school in 2029 or later.

*These age groups will change on September 1, 2023.

This change will affect a small number of athletes and has been made so those using our events as a tool for recruiting can more easily compare players against peers from their graduating class.

This update does not affect any bids that have already been awarded since bids are not age-specific.

• Athletes competing in November at the West and East Coast Championships will need to abide by the updated age requirements as of September 1, 2023.

FORMAT (subject to change):

• Pool play

  • 3 and 4 team Pools - Games to 28

  • 5+ Team Pools - Games to 21

• Play Offs

  • Top teams will advanced to single-elimination playoffs. Prizes and medals awarded to top finishers

  • Match play or one game to 28 depending on time and playoff size

PRIZES:
Youth Divisions: Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place all divisions with 4 or more teams. More prizes TBD depending on sponsor involvement.

PARKING/BATHROOM:
Plenty of onsite parking. One portable bathroom at the venue

WEATHER ISSUES:
Event will only be cancelled in the unlikely event of heavy rain, wind, and day-long unplayable conditions. We will email throughout the week with weather info if needed, and the event may be altered to run more quickly if afternoon rain is imminent. If there is a window of playable weather on event day, we'll run during that window by altering start time.

REFUND POLICY:

• Tournaments Cancellations

• If a drop occurs prior to a 2 weeks of the event, a refund will be issued minus a $20 non-refundable deposit

• if a drop occurs within 2 weeks of the event, no refund will be issued

• no processing fee of any credit card transaction will be refunded

Beach Elite tournaments have a great reputation of being fun and competitive. We always have clean music playing and a friendly tournament staff to assist.
